November Technique Class- Card 3

It has became a tradition at my November Technique Classes that I demonstrate how to make a Gift Card Holder.  Each year I try to show them a different way to make a gift card holder.  This year's idea came from a swap at the SU Convention in Salt Lake City.  When I saw this swap I just knew that I had to show this at my November classes.  It is really a miniature version of a Double Pocket Card.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SET:  Beautiful Season
PAPER:  Be of Good Cheer
INK:  Cherry Cobbler
ACCESSORIES:  Curly Label Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Rhinestone Jewels, 1/4" Gumball Green Stitched Satin  Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Scoring/Cutting Tool, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Chocolate Chip Markers

In the first pocket you will find a Christmas Sentiment and a place to sign your name.  And when you open it up you will find a gift card inside.  It is very easy to make.  And if you need to make a lot of gift card holders, you will find that this will be quick to make.  I will say though, you need to go slowly the first time you try to make it.  It is not hard to make but the first time might be a bit tricky.  Once you know how to do it, it will go fast.

Hopefully this gave you another way to make your holiday gift giving easier.  Well my goal today is to continue on my Christmas cards.  Usually by this time of the year, my cards are finished and ready to be signed.  This year I am so far behind.  Hopefully this weekend , I will be able to catch up.  Enjoy your day!

November Technique Class- Card 2

Here is the second card that we are making at Technique Class.  This card is a "Diorama Card"I think it s really cute.  Sometimes you just need a card that is a bit whimsical and I think this card fits the bill. The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SET:  Snow Much Fun
PAPER:  Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Night of Navy
INK:  White, Staz-On, Night of Navy
ACCESSORIES:  Northen Flurry Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Colored Pencils, Blender Pens, Scoring Tool, Bitty Banner Framelits, Sponge Dauber, Sticky Strip

This is such a cute card.  Everyone will enjoy receiving this card, hands down.  And on the plus, side it is a very simple card to make.  Trying to get started on my own Christmas cards and hopefully the today is the day.  Even if I only get to cut the cardstock.  Enjoy the day!

November Technique Class- Card 1

This month has been a little more hectic than I had anticipated.  And now it seems that I am behind on everything.  Now I need to focus on my blog more and not disappoint those who are so kind to follow my blog.  The next couple of posts I will be posting November's Technique Classes projects.

I think this is my favorite card this month and it is very simple to make.  I used the "TEXTURE STAMPING with EMBOSSING FOLDER" technique.  I think this card has a more vintage feel to it and of course that is my favorite type of card.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SETS: Watercolor Winter, More Many Messages
PAPER:  Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
INK:  Early Espresso, Soft Suede
ACCESSORIES:  Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Pearl Jewels, Dimensionals, Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder, Brayer, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke Markers, Apothecary Accents Framelits

This is just another way to use your embossing folders.  I look at it as a "more bang your buck" moment.  And I think all of you want to get the most out of your money.  This morning is another "Mawmaw" Morning.  Both boys will be up here and after they leave I will be working on Eli's 2nd Birthday party invitations.  Wow!  Does time go by fast!  Enjoy the day!

I'm Back and Sharing New Product

I am back from vacation and feel lucky that I missed hurricane Sandy.  Although we were very lucky here.  We did not get a lot of rain but we did get a lot of wind.  Electric lines were down in some parts of my development, an some are still down and those people are still without power.  They have been told that hopefully a crew from Ohio will arrive tomorrow to help them.  My section of the development was without power until late Wednesday evening.  So when we got home we did have power.

While I have been gone, Stampin' Up has been offering a lot of promotions and product.  So I will try to catch everyone up on what is available.

Stampin' Up is making this NEW Trimmer available to all customers beginning November 1.  I am putting this product high on my wish list.  I saw this demonstrated at convention and LOVED it!  Check out the features and then check out the video demo.  I as sure you will love it as much as I do.

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer
  • An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
    • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements.
    • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
    • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts.
    • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
    • The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch.
    • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
    • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
  • A full 12" cutting and scoring track
    • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them.
    • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles.
    • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport.
    • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
  • Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
    • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
    • Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring.
    • The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
    • The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
  • Storage compartment under base
    • The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards.
    • Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organized, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.
  • Product details: item 126889; $29.95

Tomorrow I will post the NEW promotion for this month.  Another exciting and terrific deal!  Enjoy the day!

Daycare Teacher's Halloween Treat

This is one of the gifts that I am sending with Eli to give his Daycare teachers.  Isn't it adorable?  I took a 6" x 6" piece of DSP and folded it into this treat holder.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SETS:  Wicked Cool
PAPER: Basic Black, Whisper White, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
INK:  Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
ACCESSORIES:  1/8 Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, Linen Thread

What I think is so neat about this holder, is it does not take any adhesive!!  How neat is that?  Quick and easy and just so impressive.  Everyone will love this one.  Especially since it holds 2 pieces of Giardelli chocolate.

Note:  I will not be posting for the next week because I am going on vacation.  I have not gone on a real vacation in over four fours.  So I intend to take the week off and really enjoy it.  I will be doing as much sightseeing, swimming, and general relaxing.  I will start posting again after November.  Take care until then,   Remember to enjoy the day!

Halloween Gift Idea form Pennie's Event

What a cute container idea!  I think anyone would like to receive these "Toxic Treats".  If you look very closely, you will be able to see eyeballs in the jar.  Well actually they are chocolate candy balls wrapped in foil that look like eyeballs.  The glass jar is filled with the spooky treats and decorated with a rosettes that were made form the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP.  The supplies that were used for this project were:

STAMP SET:  Toxic Treats, Goulish Friends
PAPER:  Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
INK: Versamark, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango
ACCESSORIES: Rosette Bigz Die, Apothecary Framelits, Big Shot, Sponges, Black Embossing Powder, Heating Tool, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch, 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon, wire (non SU), Eyeball Candies

I just think that this was an adorable way to give a special someone a Halloween treat.  Well another busy day.  I am beginning to pack for our vacation.  Tonight I am returning to the school where I taught for 34 years for the annual PTA sponsored "Pumpkin Painting with Pop" event.  I am one of the 3 guest judges.  It will be nice to see some of my former students and their families.  It is a very nice event that the PTA has ben doing for the families for a number of years and one of the students favorite events.  It should be  a very nice evening.  Enjoy the day!

October Technique Class- Card 3

This is the last card that we made this month.  This card is a great Fall masculine card for that special male in your life.  It can be used for any occasion. As a matter of fact, I am sending this card to a friend who lost his father this week.  I used the "Watercolor Crayon Spritz" technique.  This was very simple to make.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Gently Falling, Petite Pairs
PAPER:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Comfort Cafe DSP, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
INK:  Early Espresso
ACCESSORIES:  Wonder Crayons ( your choice of Autumn feeling colors), Stampin Spritzer, 1/8" Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Dimensionals

I love the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP.  This card demonstrates that this DSP can be used not only for Halloween but it also has patterns that can be used for masculine cards.  I love DSP that can be used for multiple purposes.  Enjoy the day!

October Technique Class- Card 2

When I saw this single stamp, I just knew I had to have it!  I love this stamp.  But sometimes when you see a solid stamp that has a lot of different components together, it is hard to think what to do with it.  But when I saw this card, I knew exactly what I needed to do to get those leaves looking like Autumn leaves.  I used a "Baby Wipe Background " technique to create those multi-colored leaves.  For this card  I used the following supplies:

STAMP SETS:  Day of Gratitude, Tweet Leaves, En Francois
PAPER:  Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Bravo Burgandy, Whisper White
INK:  Early Espresso
ACCESSORIES:  Always Artichoke Seam Binding, Wood Grain Embossing Folder, Autumn Accents Bigz Die, Big Shot, Blender Pen, Chocolate Chip Marker, Pumpkin Pie Marker, and Tangerine Tango Marker, Daffodil Delight Re-Inker, Cherry Cobbler Re-Inker, Pumpkin Pie Re-Inker, Old Olive Re-Inker, Baby Wipes

This card came out better than what I thought it would.  I like how the leaves look as though they are changing colors.  I used markers to make the bird stand out from the leaves. I tried to use a color combination that I had not used for a while.  Sometimes it seems like I get stuck on colors when I make cards.  That is when I have to make a conscious effort to change things up.  I think it worked well on this card.  Enjoy the day!

October Technique Class-Card 1

It amazes me how sometimes the simplest idea changes projects from nice into WOW projects.  This is an idea I found online.  When I saw it I thought wow how simple, why didn't I think of that.  I think it was an idea that had been demonstrated at a Regional and she was posting it on her blog.  The idea is "Colored Dazzling Details".  All you need to do to color your Dazzling Details is to add a drop of re-inkers to a small amount of Dazzling Details.  How simple is that!  I used it on this card but it is hard to see.  I mixed the re-inkers with the Dazzling Details to make the colors for the leaves.  In real life the leaves just have this neat shimmer to them.  It really adds to the card.  To apply the colored mixture, I used an Aqua Painter but you can use a brush.  You just need to remember to wash the brush thoroughly with water ( I use a little soap ) or the bristles will harden.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SETS: Hand Penned, Gently Falling
PAPER:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke
INK: Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  Black Staz-On, Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon,  Brushed Bronze Buttons, Dazzling Details, Pumpkin Pie, Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze Re-Inkers

I love the look of this technique!  I can not believe something so simple can change the look of a card so much.  Well I have to finish getting my supplies out for my Technique Class this morning.  After that I need to finish getting all my Halloween Gathering supplies together for Thursday and finsh getting my Holiday Stamp A Stack supplies together for Saturday.  This is a very busy stamping week. Enjjoy the day!

The Last of the Halloween Gathering Cards

I forgot the Googlie Eyes.  I just realized that I forgot the eyes.  So try to imagine this with the spider and the mummy with  googlie eyes.  I think this is a cute card that I saw and just had to CASE.  I used the "Ghoulish Friends" again.  I think they are so cute and when you add those eyes you just can't resist them.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SETS:  Ghoulish Friends
PAPER:  Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Basic Black, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
INK:  Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  1-3/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4: Circle Punch, 1/8, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Black Taffeta Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals, Googlie Eyes

This is the last card that we will be making at the Halloween Gathering.  Yesterday I had a wonderful day.  I got to be with both my 3 week old grandson AND my 3 month old grandson.  I got to rock each of them to sleep yesterday and hold them for a while.  Life as a Grandma is wonderful.  Enjoy the day!

A CASE of Spooky

I saw this card on Becky Robert's blog.  I thought it was the cutest card and would be a perfect card for the Halloween Gathering.  I looked at hers and came up with this.  Again I used the "Ghoulish Friends" stamp set again.  This is my favorite Halloween set behind "Wicked Cool".  If you look closely, you can see that I snuck the sentiment in from "Wicked Cool".
The supplies that I used from this set were:

STAMP SETS: Wicked Cool, Ghoulish Friends
PAPER:  Whisper White, Basic Black, Wild Wasabi, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
INK:  Basic Black, Tangerine Tango
ACCESSORIES:  Googlie Eyes, Chevron Embossing Folder, Scallop Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Oval Punch, Rhinestone Jewels

When my daughter came over to pick up the boys the other day, her eyes went right to this card.  She loved it!  Well I got to get running.  I have a lot of little stuff to do.  Enjoy the day!

Another Card from the Halloween Gathering

I saw a cute card last year by Mindy Bing.  This is my interpretation of her card.  I really like the color combination of Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry for Halloween cards.  I also went back to my old favorite Halloween Stamp Set, "Wicked Cool".   This layout is a little out of the box for me but sometimes you have to try different things. The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Wicked Cool
PAPER:  Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie DSP, Whisper White, Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry
INK: Illuminate
ACCESSORIES:  Spider Web Embossing Folder, Striped Embossing Folder,  2-1/2" Circle Punch, Pumpkin pie, Old Olive, Basic Black, and Rich Razzleberry Markers

Are you wondering what Illuminate is?  It is a NEW Stamp Pad that you can find in the Holiday Catalog.  It is like a Versamark Pad but it has shimmer and shine to it.  Check out the spider web on the card.  I rubbed the Illuminate Pad on the raised surface of the embossed cardstock.  I think it gives a great effect to the card.  If you are interested in attending the Halloween Gathering, please contact me for specifics.  Enjoy the day!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

I was hesitant about buying this stamp set "Ghoulish Friends" because I was afraid that I would not use it enough.  But I keep using it and using it over and over.  And I keep finding new ways to use it.  I saw this basic layout and paper but can not remember who did it.  I changed the ribbon and image on the oval and finally added the sentiment on the outside.  I then decided to decorate the inside of the card also.  I combined 2 stamp sets to use on this card.  The supplies that I used on the this project were:

STAMP SETS:  Wicked Cool, Ghoulish Friends
PAPER:  Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP Basic Black, Whisper White
INK:  Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  Googlie Eyes,  Wide Oval Punch, 1/2" Striped Satin Ribbon, Oval Designer Frames Embossing Folder

This is a quick and easy card to make if you need to make a lot of the same card.  This would make a great stamp a stack card!

This is card that will be offered at the "Halloween Gathering"  which will held at MaryAnn's House.  Contact me for more information if interested in attending.

No babysitting today but I have to do major cleaning to make room for a new computer.  one of my family members is moving and is giving me their desktop computer.  I am so excited!  It will be nice to work on projects and not have to worry if my battery is running low.  Enjoy the day!

A CASE for Owls

Last year I saw this cute box done by Vicki Burdick and I thought it was sooo adorable.  I could not wait until I could make this box this year.  I thought it would take long to make it, but once you figure out the dimensions it went faster than what I thought it would.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

PAPER:  Champagne Glimmer Paper, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Pie Polka Dot Parade DSP
ACCESSORIES:  Basic Glimmer Brads, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Fancy Favor Box Die, Tasteful Trim Die, Big Shot

This project was one of the reasons I broke down and bought the Fancy Favor Box Die.  I kept putting off buying this die because I was afraid I would not get enough use from this die.  But boy was I wrong.  I have used this die so much since I bought it last year.  And I keep seeing more and more projects done using this die.

I plan to make more of these boxes to place Halloween Treats in for those special neighborhood kids for Trick or Treat night.  Since we will be on vacation then, I am going to give them to those kids next door and across the street before we leave.  I think they will like them.

This box is also one of the projects we will be making at my annual "Halloween Gathering".  Enjoy the day!

More Ideas From September Event

Note Cards and Nuggets
As I explained to you before, Pennie's event in September was just so inspiring.  It is just a wonderful day when you get a group of talented stampers together and they share their talents. Here are a few more ideas and samples from those women.  These pictures were taken of the projects that were made for the raffle and I could not see or find names on all of them.  If I posted a picture of your project, please let me know and I will give you credit for it.

Fabric Pumpkin

MDS Project Framed

I was in New York yesterday at the Live with Kelly and Michael Show.  It was such a great show.  It was Kelly's Birthday and the Cake Boss came on with cakes and then after the show we all had cake made from the Cake Boss!  It was so good!  A Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese icing.  Yum!  Although it rained the rest of the day while we were walking around New York, we had a great day!  Enjoy the day!

Some Great Raffle Gifts

I am on my way to my daughter's home today to help her out today with baby Carter.  She needs some time to run errands and perhaps a bit of a nap.  So I am going over today so she can get some things done.  So today's post will be short.

I am posting pictures of some more of the great raffle gifts that my fellow demonstrators came up with.  Unfortunately I can not give people credit for what they made because we did not put our names on what we made.  Enjoy the day!

Storybook Friend

Here is another Make & Take from Pennie's Get Together.  I love this set because it reminds me of my reading book series when I was in elementary school.  You know the one if you have been out of school for a while.  It is the book that had Dick, Jane, Puff and Spot in it.  The stamps remind me of the pictures in those books.  The stamp set has a nostalgic feel to it.

The supplies that were used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Storybook Friends
PAPER:  Whisper White, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, So Saffron, Storytime DSP
INK:  Black Staz-On
ACCESSORIES:  Designer Ribbon Slide (Holiday Catalog), Modern Label Punch,  1/4" Stitched Wild Wasabi Ribbon, Wonder Crayons, Blender Pens

This is a simple card but a great one to give your child's teacher, a friend who is a teacher, or just to a good friend.  This is a very versatile set if you look at all the other pieces in the set.  There are other cute little animals that go along with this little guy.  There is a single stamp which co-ordinates with this set called "Life Shared".  All in all,  this was one of the sets that I when I first saw the catalog I felt I had to have.  I already have bought the MDS collection of this.

My daughter is coming over today to visit and to go to a dentist appointment near our home.  So I get to babysit the youngest of my grandsons today.  I am so excited that I will get to spend some alone time with him today.  This is the first time I will get to do that since he is only 1 week old.  I plan to cherish the time together today.  Enjoy your day!

A More Manly Card

I always find it is so difficult to come up with cards that can be used for a male.  I can easily come up with floral cards, kid cards, baby cards, and holiday cards.  but the manly cards stump me.  But Pennie came up with this card on Saturday for a Make & Take and I think everyone probably went home and ordered this set.  This card is so easy and perfect for that young man or adult male in your household who loves the outdoors.  Another simple card that uses very few colors but the flames of the fire really make this card pop.

The supplies that we used for this card were:

STAMP SET: The Great Outdoors
PAPER:  Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Natural Specialty Designer Paper
INK:  Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
ACCESSORIES:  Scissors, Sponge Daubers, Dimensionals , 3" Circle Die, 3-1/2" Circle Die, Big Shot, Linen Thread

This card comes with a little surprise.  The front of the cad is not a complete piece.  I think it is adorable!  Pennie came up with another sure hit!  As you can tell, I am still excited about our Saturday Event.  Enjoy your day!

Animal Talk

This is such a cute and easy card to make.  Because there were so many people at this event and you are trying to do 6 Make & Takes, they have to be quick, easy, and they have to catch your eye.  This card certainly does that!  This card uses the "ANIMAL TALK" stamp set.  This is another set that has a lot of versatility.  It contains a bird, frog, dog, cat and various animal related sentiments.  The supplies that we used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Animal Talk
PAPER:  Gumball Green, Marina Mist, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
INK:  Gumball Green
ACCESSORIES:  Mini Silver Brads, Modern Label Punch, Apothecary Label Framelits, Chevron Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Marina Mist Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon

If you children or friends who are animal lovers then this is a great set for you.  Another busy day ahead.  Hopefully I will be able to spend some time on some Halloween projects.  Enjoy the day!

Moving Forward

Stampin' Up is a company that gives back to it's community and other important causes.  Ronald McDonald House is one of the charities that SU is involved with.  For the past few years, SU has created a stamp set to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  For every RMHC stamp set that is sold, Stampin' Up donates $3.  This year's stamp set is "MOVING FORWARD".

Yesterday at Pennie's Event, we created 6 Make & Takes.  This card used the stamp set "MOVING FORWARD".  Here are the supplies used in creating this card:

STAMP SET:  Moving Forward
PAPER:  Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
INK:  Calypso Coral, Pool Party
ACCESSORIES:  Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, Scissors, Dimensionls

What a cute card!  It is perfect for a child or that friend who loves boats.  There are so many different cards that you can make with this set,  It s very versatile.  I will post another card that we made at the meeting tomorrow.  Enjoy the day!

It's a Rubber Dubber Day!

I am home after a FANTASTIC day!  Pennie is my upline and she has taken us under her wing and we appreciate it.  Pennie's group is named the "Rubber Dubbers"  She invited her 5 levels of downlines and 80 people came from all over for her Upline meeting.  It was wonderful!  People who attended the event today came form all over.  She held the meeting at my church which is in North east Pennsylvania.  someone flew in from Florida!  I think she came the furtherest except for Pennie who now lives in Washington State.  People from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York State, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia and of course Pennsylvania were there.  It was so good to see old friends and of course make new ones.  It was like a mini convention.

There were a lot of people who gave 3 minute demonstrations.  It was very informative.  We also bring gifts for exchange.  I am posting a few of the items that some of the attendees made.

Tomorrow I will post one of the Make and Takes that we made.  I am still very excited  about everything that went on today.  There were so many ideas.  A day like this really rejuvenates you.  Enjoy the rest of day!

Holiday Stamp A Stack Card -3

A beautiful day here today!  It is starting to feel like Fall and I love it!  I do not have the boys today but I am going to visit the new little man in my life...Carter today.  So I have a lot of running to do this morning because I wan to make 2 meals for the new family before I go over.  So here is another quick post.

This is another one of the cards that we made last weekend at the September Stamp A Stack.  It took longer to make than what I thought it would.  I like this card but I wish I would have made it simpler.  The supplies used for this were:

STAMP SET:  Evergreen
PAPER:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Vellum, Champagne Glimmer
INK:  Always Artichoke, Versamark
ACCESSORIES:  Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Gold Embossing Powder, Large Scallop Edgelits, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Holiday Collection Framelits, Heating Tools, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip

I really like this card but it was more labor intensive than it should be for a Stamp A Stack.  Gotta go.  I have a lot to do before I get to see my newest grandbaby.  Enjoy the day!

Another September Stamp A Stack Card

A very quick post today.  I am running late and the boys will be here soon for me to watch.  Today's card was so simple but so cute!  The Rhinestone Jewels that we used were made Red by using a Sharpie marker.  So simple to do and boy do they make an impact on this card.

The supplies that I used on this card were:

STAMP SET: Joyous Celebrations
PAPER:  Whisper White, Gumball Green Core'dinations
INK:  Real Red, Gumball Green
ACCESSORIES:  Lacy Brocade. Embossing Folder, Big Shot, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, Red Sharpie Marker (non SU)

This card does not use a ton of supplies and the red rhinestones really make this card pop.  Anybody would love to receive this card.  This is the perfect card to make if you are making a lot of cards at one time.

I am off to do my Grandma duties today.  Enjoy the day!

Grandma Again!

I had all intensions on posting early today but something happened that got me off track.  I received a text at 5 this morning to tell me that my oldest daughter was at the hospital ready to give birth.  But the baby had other plans and decided to wait until late afternoon to make his entrance so all day I was distracted waiting to run to the hospital after he was born.

I just got back from the hospital so I thought I would post a quick photo of him.  He was only 3 hours old when the photos were taken.

I think I can relax now.  Both daughters have had their babies now and they are fine.  What a wonderful day!  Enjoy yours!

Holiday Stamp A Stack Card

It is that time of year again when Susan I plan events to help you get ready early for the Holidays. We hold 4 Holiday Stamp A Stack events.  That is where you have the opportunity to get a jump start on your Holiday card making.  We have them 4 consecutive months so that when done you have all the cards you need finished.  This weekend we are hosting the second session in the series of four.  This is one of the cards that we will be making.  At convention I saw a card that used on White and silver and I thought it was just so elegant.  I could not wait to come home and try it out.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Star Tree
PAPER:  Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
INK:  Versamark
ACCESSORIES:  Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Silver Embossing Powder, Heating Tool

How simple is that!  Although it does not use a lot of supplies, I think it is extremely elegant and gives the feeling of serenity.  This is a card everyone would love to receive.

This is not the best picture of this card but I had already cropped the picture for our flyer and my friend borrowed the cards so I was unable to get a better picture of it.  Well Emmett will be here in a few minutes and my Grandma duties will be starting.  Enjoy your day!

September Technique Class- Card 3

This is the third card we will be making this month.  I CASE'd this from Dawn Griffith.  I just fell in love with this card.  This is a TRI FOLD CARD with peek windows!.  The little openings is what really makes this card.

The supplies that I used for this card are:

STAMP SETS:  Spooky Bingo Bits, Wicked Cool
PAPER: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Basic Black, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
INK:  Basic Black, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie
ACCESSORIES:  Rhinestone Jewels, Orange Sharpie (non SU), 1/8" Black Taffeta Ribbon, 1-3/8: Square Punch, 1-1/4" Square Punch, Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals

If you wish to attend one of my Technique Classes this month, her are the dates and times:

Tuesday, September 18 @ 9:15-11:45 AM
Wednesday, September 19 @ 7-9:30 PM
Saturday, September 29 @ 9- 11:30 AM

Cost is $10 or $5 if $25 worth of product is purchased.  If interested in attending , please contact me.

If you notice, I colored the Rhinestone Jewels orange with a sharpie.  I think adding the colored jewels spices this card up.  Sometimes it is just the smallest of embellishments that can add so much to a card. This post is very short today because I have both grandsons today and it is hard to be able to concentrate on what I am trying to write.  Enjoy the day

September Technique Class- Card 2

While I have a chance I will try to get this card posted while the baby is sleeping. The baby was sick yesterday with a fever which he has had for 3 days.  I took him to the Dr. and they said it was a virus.  But when a baby is sick,  all you want to do is hold them and give them lots of love until they feel better.

But anyway...this is the second card that we will be making in Technique Class.  This is a POP SLIDER CARD and it is such an easy card to make but boy will it make the recipient smile.

The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP  SETS:  Wicked Cool, Googly Ghouls, Delightful Dozen
PAPER:  Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
INK:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
ACCESSORIES:  Cutting and Scoring Tool, 1/2" Black Scallop Dots Ribbon, 1" Cicle Punch, Sticky Strip, Black Embossing Powder, Heating Tool, Googlie Eyes, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, White Gel Pen, Dimensionals

I think this is such a cute card that anyone would enjoy getting.  I think it is so neat how you get to see the sentiment on the inside of the card.

If you wish to attend one of my Technique Classes this month, her are the dates and times:

Tuesday, September 18 @ 9:15-11:45 AM
Wednesday, September 19 @ 7-9:30 PM
Saturday, September 29 @ 9- 11:30 AM

Cost is $10 or $5 if $25 worth of product is purchased.  If interested in attending , please contact me.

Emmett will be here soon.  I hope he is feeling better today.  While he is napping, I am going to try to finish samples for a stamp camp I am planning.  It is supposed to be another beautiful day.  Enjoy your day!
