It has been a rough 3 months around here. There have been a number of friends and relatives that have either been sick or passed. Tonight we have another viewing to attend and that is the mother of one our close friends.
I needed a sympathy card to send to our friends and decided to send this one. This card was one of my Open House Make & Take cards. I had a few prepared packets left over and decided to finish them and place a sympathy sentiment on the front of the card. It is a very simple and dignified card.

I am glad that I decided to take my left overs and finish them. This way I was able to have cards with a variety of sentiments on hand. It always helps to have cards with different sentiments on hand because you never know when you will need one.
I have 2 grandsons to watch today along with my grand dog and it is snowing again! This will probably turn out to be another busy day. Enjoy the day!
I have not felt good for a few days. So I have not felt like stamping but I will post a couple of cards from a swap that I participated in at a downline meeting. I LOVE the "By the Tide" stamp set and here are 2 great swaps that showcase that stamp set well.
The first card is by Lou Ann Ramp. I would never have thought to use this as a sympathy card but I think it works well. I love the colors that she used. The supplies that she used for this card were:

This is the last sympathy card that I will share with you that I received from a friend on the occasion of my father passing in January. This card I received from my stamping sister Katherine from Massachusetts. I saw this card on her blog My Magical Inkery Tour and liked it so much. I was so happy to get it a few days later. I was so happy to know that she was thinking about me and my family during this time. And it felt so good to know that she took the time to create this hand stamped card.

This is the last sympathy card that I will show you. I was so touched by all the people that sent cards and were so supportive through this rough time. It was such a roller coaster time because my daughter got married 2 weeks after my father was buried. And after that announcements of more grandchildren were made. So my life has been a series of ups and downs later but the ups are helping us right now. More on that later. Got to get ready for my daughter's birthday today. So I will be very busy as usual. I am back from Regionals and it was GREAT!!! But I will post about Regionals tomorrow. I wanted to post this card before I left for Regionals. Because Eli was not feeling well, I had to watch him extra days and was not able to get to my computer. He had a fever and just clung to Grandma. It is nice in a way because you know you are loved and needed. But then you can not get things done that you wanted to get done.
This is another sympathy card that I received. This is from Pennie who is an upline above me. We were to meet up with each other at Leadership but of course my plans changed. This is the card she sent me after she returned home. The color combination is what I loved. The pop of bright color with the color Poppy Parade I think really gets your attention but it is still a soothing card with the majority of the card using Pool Party and Whisper White. It was so nice to receive all these sympathy cards from my friends, family and my stamping family. I think I have 1 more sympathy card to show you that I received from a stamping sister. But that will be another day. I will show you something from Regionals tomorrow. I had such a nice time although it was a very long drive to get there. I think it took us 8 hours to get there and we drove straight through except for a fast food luch break. More about that when I post again. Enjoy the day!
