Last Saturday I was able to go to a downline meeting at Janet Wakeland's house. Although she is not my upline, she invites demos in the area to attend. Since my upline lives on the West Coast, it was an opportunity to get together with other demos in the area. I like getting together with other demos because it is a great opportunity to exchange ideas, talk some business, and have a great time with wonderful people.
While we were there we made a number of projects that we can share with our customers and our downlines. Here is one of the cards that we created while at Janet's. This is a very simple but an elegant card. The "SWALLOWTAIL" stamp is in the Spring Catalog and is one of my favorite stamps but I did not buy it. I was afraid that it would be hard to use BUT I see so many beautiful cards with this stamp. I think I have to break down and get it. I love this card. The supplies that we used for this card were:

For our Valentine Stamp Camp last Saturday one of our projects was a bag. The bag was a CASE of a project Brian Pilling demonstrated to us at Leadership. We thought it was so cute that we needed to include it at our Stamp Camp. This is the bag that we made. The supplies that we used for this project were:

Janet Wakeland made a cute Goldfish Treat Holder using MDS and made the Whale in a "goldfish" color. I thought it such a neat idea to connect the whale with the goldfish. So anyway...I used the bag idea that we made but used the goldfish idea. I made a couple of these bags and filled them with Goldfish Cracker bags and Dove Valentine Hearts for Eli's Teachers at Daycare. Here is a peek at the bag.
It is really the same bag only I changed the ribbon and the color of the whale. I think it is cute. And I am hoping they will enjoy their Valentine treat. It is so easy to take one idea and using the same basic concept, you can change it a bit to fit your needs.

A beautiful day here today! It is starting to feel like Fall and I love it! I do not have the boys today but I am going to visit the new little man in my life...Carter today. So I have a lot of running to do this morning because I wan to make 2 meals for the new family before I go over. So here is another quick post.

Well there will soon be another Baptism in our family. So I was busy over the weekend trying to get the invitations made so they could go out today. It was a last minute decision and was not made until Thursday. I guess you wonder why we are planning this event so fast. Lori's husband is from Arizona and his parents were waiting until the baby was born to come in for a visit. Well they were finally able to make there plans and are coming in right after I get back from Convention. They were here for Eli's Baptism and Lori and her husband decided that it would be nice if his parents could also be here for the new little guy. So as soon as there plans were made, the kids started to make plans for this Baptism. Needless to say, I had to quickly come up with an invite. Any other time it would not be too much to do but right now I am trying to get my swaps done for convention. But now the invitations are done so all it all worked out. I do not think it is too bad for a last minute project. My room is a mess with 150 Convention swaps, Baby Shower projects (shhh they are still a secret), and now the Baptism invitations! I have been racking my brain all weekend to come up with ideas for my swaps at Convention. I have never been before and I am so excited to go. I want to make sure I have a decent card to swap. I love this color combination! I use it a lot. For some reason this color combination speaks to me. The blues and green give me such a cool and serene feeling and the pop of Calypso Coral is enough to make the card interesting.
The other thing I like about this card is the technique I used on the flower and leaves. It is called Water Splash. All you have to do is is stamp the image with Classic Ink and then spritz a little water on the stamp and then stamp the image. I love it because it creates such a neat effect on the image. I am pleased how this turned out. I already started to work on this card. I plan to finsh and cut all the pieces but leave the adhering them together until I leave for Salt Lake City. I am going out to Salt Lake City by train! Yes, by train. It will take 2-1/2 days to get there so I plan to take my swaps and finish them on the train. It will help the time go by faster I am sure.
