Valentine Card Buffet

I am hosting my Annual Valentine Card Buffet on February 6 at my place.  The way I host my Card Buffets is that I offer 4-5 different card designs.  Fro those designs, you get to choose any design or designs that you wish.  And from that you get to choose how many cards you would like to make from each design.  So you can make as many cards as you would like. I charge for each card you make.  This is one of the cards that you can choose from.  I try to make a variety of styles for my customers to choose from.  For this card I wanted to design a really vintage romantic type of card.  I am not sure if I succeeded but here is the card.  the supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SETS:  You Are Loved, Teeny Tiny Wishes
PAPER:  Melon Mambo, Whisper White
INK: Versamark, Melon Mambo
ACCESSORIES:  Melon Mambo Embossing Powder, Lacey Brocade Embossing Folder, Hearts Collection Framelits, Big Shot, Word Window Punch, 3/8" Melon Mambo Striped Organdy Ribbon,  Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 5/8" Flower Trim, Pearl Jewels, Sponge Dauber, Glue Dots

This card looks so much better in person.  If you would like more information about this Valentine Card Buffet, please click here to contact me.  Today I have no babies to baby sit but I am taking this "free" time to prepare for the Valentine Stamp Camp on Saturday.  Enjoy your day!

January Technique Class- Card 2

I love glitz but sometimes it can be so messy trying to put it on a card.  I have a quick and easy way to get those "Glittered Backgrounds" that I like so well.  In the past I have tried to glitter larger areas and it had been disastrous. Then Stampin' Up came out with Adhesive Sheets and my problem was solved.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SETS:  Nature Walk, Blooming Kindness
PAPER:  Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla, Old Olive
INK:  Midnight Muse, Old Olive, More Mustard, Crumb Cake
ACCESSORIES:  Wide Oval Punch, Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon, Pearl Jewels, Dimensionals, Adhesive Sheets, Dazzling Diamonds

My customers loved it.  They especially loved the easy way to glitter a large area and it was not that messy.  After you peel off the side adhesive and the sticky area is exposed, you just pour the Dazzling Diamonds over it. Voila!  A glittery, glitzy area that puts a WOW on your card.

My days have been so full the last few weeks because I all the babysitting I have doing for my Grandsons.  I am enjoying every minute of it.  I am working on organizing myself better so I can keep up with my blogging.  That has been my New Year's resolution to be better with keeping up with my blog.  So please be patient with me.  I truly am working on being more consistent.  Enjoy your day!

January Technique Class- Card 1

The theme for my technique classes this month was "Glitz & Glitter".  And what a perfect theme it was since Stampin' Up kicked off their 25th anniversary this month at Leadership. This is the first card that we made at my classes this month.

This card used the a technique to color the Silver Glimmer Paper.  This time I used a Sponge Dauber to color the Glimmer Paper instead of using an Aquapainter.  All you need to do is place a few drops of Re-Inker into a container.  Take a Sponge Dauber , dip it into the container to soak up some of the re-inker, and then sponge over the Glimmer Paper.  The supplies that I used fro this card were:

STAMP SET:  The Open Sea
PAPER:  Not Quite Nave, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Silver Glimmer Paper
INK:  Not Quite Navy, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
ACCESSORIES: 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler's Baker's Twine, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Soft Suede Ink Refill, Sponge Dauber

This card was designed before I left for Orlando and all my supplies were cut.  When I came home I changed the layout.  And then the first day I had the class, I added the Baker's Twine because it needed something added to it.  My cards a lot of the time are works in progress.  I am always thinking how I can change it or make it better.

Speaking of Silver Glimmer Paper, during Sale-A-Bration if you host at least a $150 party you will receive a package of Silver Glimmer Paper.  That is in honor of Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary.  Enjoy your day!

Leadership and 25 Years

Leadership kicked off the year long celebration of Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary of being a company.  Leadership was exciting because of all the new items that are coming.  But we were also got to see a slideshow of the past 25 years.  The company has come a long way.  There will be more promotions coming throughout the year to celebrate Stampin' Up's 25 years.

I wanted to show you this key chain that Jen Campbell made for us.  She is one of my sidelines downlines and we all met up during Leadership.  When we get together we still make Event Gifts for each other and this was Jen's gift to us.  If you look very closely, you can see a Silver 25 stamped on the black scallop oval.  I love the the sentiment on the tag.  It reads..."she believed she could and she did".  What a perfect sentiment!  That describes how Stampin' Up started.  This is a sentiment from a Stamp Set "FEEL GOODS" in the Spring Catalog.  Check it out for more great sentiments.

Off for another busy day running.  Enjoy your day!

Open House Make & Take Card 2

I really like the Stamp Set "PATTERNED OCCASIONS"  from the Sale- A- Bration Brochure .   I wanted to show my customers a way that you could use this stamp.  With Valentine's Day coming soon,  I thought I would use the "Whole Latte Love" stamp.  I think this is more of a masculine card.  It does not have have a lot of color except for the red for Valentine's day.  The Early Espresso and Crumb Cake plus the striped cardstock gives it a more masculine feel or at least I think so.  the supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Patterned Occasions
PAPER: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Real Red, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper
INK:  Early Espresso
ACCESSORIES:  Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, Stripes Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Small Heart Punch1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1/8" Real Red Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

This is another quick and easy card.  The last few cards that I have done,  I have tried to make them more simple.  I don't know why but sometimes, you need to change things up.  All your cards do not need to be a lot of layers, buttons, ribbons or trinkets or even use fancy techniques.  Sometimes the simplest card made from the heart is the best.

A reminder that the Sale-A-Bration Promotion is going o now through March 22.  For every $50 of product you purchase you get to choose an item from the brochure CLICK HERE to check out what else you are able to choose from. Enjoy the day!

Oh, Hello

Wouldn't anyone like to receive a card like this?  This is one of the Make & Take cards that my customers made at my Open House on Sunday.  I always make sure that my cards have at least 3 of the NEW products.  This card is very simple yet I managed to use 4 of the NEW products in the Spring Catalog.  The 4 products that I used were
1. "OH, HELLO" Stamp Set
2. "TEA for TWO" DSP which was used for the banner
3.   "OVAL FRAMELITS" which I used to cut out the oval
4.  "NEEDLEPOINT BORDER"  Embossing Folder

The only items that I used that were not in the  Spring Catalog are Whisper White Cardstock, Early Espresso Ink Pad, Primrose Petal and Gumball Green Markers.

It is very simple but I think oh so cute!  Now is a great time to order the new products.  Sale- a Bration starts today!  For every $50 worth of product you spend, you can choose an its from the Sale-A-Bration brochure for FREE!   If you ordered all the new items that I demonstrated on this card, you would be able to choose one of the free items since.  Those 4 items added up to $55.85 so a free item would be the icing on the cake to this order.
If you would like to check out what items you can choose for free

Valentine Stamp Camp

After seeing all the wonderful displays at Leadership, Susan and I were inspired to develop a Valentine Stamp Camp.  We will be holding our Stamp Camp on February 2, 2013 @ 10 AM-1 PM at Susan's house.  We have a Valentine Card to give to that special someone, a whimsical bag to place a gift in.  A Valentine Pouch which can easily hold a gift card or some other type of goody.  And finally a Petite Pouch to hold a candy treat.  All of these projects came from demonstrations that were given at Leadership.

We are offering the class for $15 to make all of the 4 projects.  If you are interested or have any questions, please contact me.  The last day to sign up is January 26th.

Enjoy your day!

Leadership Swap Card 2

I love going to Stampin' Up events!  There are so many things going on.  There are training events, Share Fairs, swapping and more. When I go to different events where there is swapping, I always try to make 2 different cards.  I showed my first design and here is the second card I took to Leadership.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  The Open Sea
PAPER:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Soft Suede Pattern Pack DSP
INK:  Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Not Quite Navy
ACCESSORIES: Large Oval Punch, Chevron Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals

I find that a lot of demonstrators are happy that I also try to make a masculine card to swap because we are always looking for cards to give to that favorite guy in our lives.

I would also like to share a few of the swaps I received at Leadership:

card by Pam Joel
card by Robyn Boyer-
The cards that I shared with you today were swapped with me by two of my side lines.  We always try to sit together in the same area when we go to events like this.  We had a great time at Leadership!  I have more to share with in the next couple of weeks.  Enjoy your day!

I am Back From Leadership

Leadership in Orlando was FANTASTIC!  What a great way to do start the New Year!  I love going to Leadership because it helps to get your creative juices flowing again.  Stampin' Up has so many new ideas, products and programs coming your your in the next few days and months that it can not do anything but get you excited.

First I want to show you one of the swaps that I made for Leadership.  I loved this swap!  I think other people at Leadership did also because this is the swap that I ran out of first.  Although my daughter did not, she thought it looked like a Christmas card.  She felt the colors made it look that way.  So who was right?  Was it the demos or my daughter?  I will leave that decision up to you.  Although I would like to think the other demos were right.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SETS:  Summer Silhouettes, You Are Loved
PAPER:  Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Gumball Green Core'dinations
INK:  Gumball Green, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple
ACCESSORIES:  Gumball Green Embossing Powder, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heating Tool, Sanding Block, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Boho Blossom Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Jewel Rhinestone

Maybe I will take my daughter's advice and try it in more Springy colors.  If I do, I will post a picture of it and get your opinions.

I don't want to make this post too long but I just really need to show you this video.  This is a video for a new product that Stampin' Up is launching today for MEN!

Guys don't always have the easiest time expressing themselves, but with the Dude, You're Welcome! kit, they'll have
  • Four wood-mount stamps (double-mounted) with the perfect sentiment for every occasion
  • Twelve 4" x 6" postcards in four different (manly) colors
  • Twelve gray envelopes
  • A Basic Gray Classic Stampin' Pad
  • An instructional guide (for the most novice stamper!)
Basically, the kit includes everything a dude needs to create the perfect manly card that any woman would adore, all packaged in an appropriately masculine box.

Enjoy the video about this kit!

If you would like more information, please contact me.  Enjoy your day!
