Here is another card that we created at Janet's this past month. This is a good card to make if you needed one very quickly. It uses products from the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration brochure.
To create the eggs, I used the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the Sale - A- Bration brochure and the Oval Framelits. The Crisp Cantaloupe twine is from the Sweet Sorbet Accessories Kit.
The list of all the supplies that I used for this project are listed here:
STAMP SET: None
PAPER: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Sweet Sorbet DSP
INK: None
ACCESSORIES: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Crisp Cantaloupe Twine, Fringe Scissors
The Fringe Scissors created the grassy area on the card. They are a fun cool accessory to use. And it adds punch to the card.
Today I have a lot of running to do with the kids. I need to drive one to the dentist and then we have a lot of errands to run. So I am off and hopefully tonight , I will be able to relax by getting some stamping finished. Enjoy the day!

Envelope Punch Board Treat Boxes
My customers have been asking me to have a Technique Class using the Envelope Punch Board. I was so excited when the Envelope Punch Board was introduced at Convention. I got even more excited when I saw all the other things that you could do with it. My customers have been asking for a different type of Technique class, so I decided to try a class showing them what else can be done.
I started with these cute little baskets using the Watercolor Wonder DSP. I thought they would be cute to use to hold treats for an Easter Gathering, Bridal Shower, or a Mother's Day Luncheon. My customers loved the idea and they were so easy to make. It was a good starter project for them.
This is what it looks like before it all gets folded together. Hopefully you can see the lines where I scored the DSP. These baskets were created with 6" x 6" DSP.
Here is a link where I found the directions
It is from Sam at PootlesPapercraft UK and is a great instruction video.
The supplies that I used for this project were:
STAMP SET: A Round Array
PAPER: Watercolor Wonder DSP, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
INK: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie
ACCESSORIES: 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon, 1/8" Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, Envelope Punch Board, Adhesive, Dimensionals
I was glad that I did this class for them. I know that Eli's teachers will be getting these cute little boxes filled with Jelly Beans for Easter. Enjoy the day!

INK: Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Dimensionals, Arrows Textured Embossing Folder, Word Bubbles Framelits, Banner Framelits, Big Shot, Celebrations Basics Kit
This is a great way to use . Also this is a perfect example of a great card using only Neutral colors. What an impact it can make!

Happy Anniversary Toast
I know this is a bad picture but it it really does look nice in person. This card would make a great Anniversary card or change the sentiment and it makes a really pretty Wedding Card. This card really took me a long time to come up with. I had the idea of the 2 glasses clinking but I could never come up with the rest of the card. Then last weekend when we went to Janet Wakeland's for a demo training we made a card which was my inspiration to finish.
The supplies that I used for this card were:
STAMP SETS: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Embellished Events
PAPER: Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Silver Foil Sheets, Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum
INK: Smokey Slate
ACCESSORIES: Itty Bitty Banner Framelits, Modern Label Punch, Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Jewel Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals
This is the card that we made at Janet's that helped me finish my card. I liked the way the Vellum was used with the Silver Foil and the Silver Ribbon. So I CASE'd that section of the card and added the Champagne Glasses and sentiment. I think the combination of ideas worked out well.
The supplies used for this card were:
STAMP SET: Perfect Couple
PAPER: Pool Party, Whisper White, Silver Foil Sheets, Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum
INK: Versamark
ACCESSORIES: Silver 1/8" Ribbon, Heart Framelits, Big Shot, Dimensionals
The top card is one of the 10 that I have prepared for my All Occasion SAS. It will be held on MArch 23 @ 1 PM. If you are interested in attending and would like more information, contact me. Enjoy the day!

Open Seas Patina Style
This was another one of the samples that I created for the Demo meeting at Janet's on Saturday. I have loved this stamp set from the first time I saw this in the Stamping Up Catalog. This is my favorite go to stamp set when I am trying to come up with a masculine card.
The supplies that I used for this card were:
STAMP SETS: The Open Sea, World Map, Glorious Grunge
PAPER: Very Vanilla, Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Whisper White
INK: Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Basic Gray, Versamark
ACCESSORIES: Sponge, Chevron Embossing Folder, Espresso Baker's Twine, Silver Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Brayer, Circle Framelits
If you are looking at the supply list and are wondering where some of these supplies were used, let me help you. To create the Faux PatinaI used a piece of Whisper White card stock. I opened the Chevron Embossing Folder and inked the smooth side of the embossing folder using a brayer inked with Crumb Cake. I then ran that through the Big Shot. I then took that piece of inked card stock and sponged over the card stock with Basic Gray. The next step was to then sponge Night of Navy over the raised area. The last step in this process was to take one of the speckled stamps from Glorious Grunge stamp set, ink with Versa mark and stamp all over the inked card stock. I then took Silver Embossing Powder and then used the Heating Tool to emboss.
The Faux Patina technique has a lot of different steps, but it is not hard to do. I liked using the Silver Embossing Powder with this color combination because of the blues being a cool feel and the silver also has a cool look to it.
All in all it was a nice day. It also gave me a good excuse to get this stamp set out again. Enjoy the day!

Faux Patina Weekend
This past weekend I attended an event at Janet Wakeland's. I always enjoy her demo events for many reasons. She has so many good tips for demos, great swaps, great Make & Takes and more. The past few meetings Janet has been having various Demos share different techniques with the group. This past weekend's focus was on various ways you can use the Big Shot or the new Texture Embossing Boutique. I was one of the demonstrators who demo'd a technique that could be done with the use of Embossing Folders.
I decided to do Faux Patina for my demo. And this is one of the samples that I used in presentation to showcase that technique. The embossed card stock behind the image is the Embossed Patina piece I made. I really like this technique and I found the directions for it on Angie Leach's blog. She has done some incredible projects using this technique. I love antique things and this technique gives you that old antique feeling.
The supplies that I used for this card were:
STAMP SETS: En Francois, Love and Sympathy, Petite Pairs
PAPER: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
INK: Versamark, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Crazy Cajun, Always Artichoke, Primrose Petals
ACCESSORIES: Beautiful Baroque Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Sponges, Dimensionals, Gold Embossing Powder, Heating Tool, Always Artichoke & Primrose Petals Markers
The most important part of the Faux Patina Technique is Gold Embossing on top to make it look like metal. I think I did all right when I did my demo. I enjoyed doing it. I will post another sample card tomorrow that I did for the demo. Enjoy the day!

Monochromatic Happy
After another rough week, I think things are finally settling down. I feel badly that I have not been able to post as much but I should be able to step it after this weekend.
Today I am posting a card that I made as soon as I received this stamp set. This stamp set from the Occasions Catalog just screamed my name when I saw it. This stamp set was on the top of list when I placed my order. I love the watercolor looking swishes and think it is a great way to place some color on a card. That swish is a perfect way to allow people make watercolor swipes on their cards without using an actual paint brush.
The supplies that I used for this card were:
STAMP SET: Happy Watercolor
PAPER: Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, Whisper White
INK: Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: None
I decided to make this card using a monochromatic color scheme. It took me a few attempts though to choose the right colors to get that perfect look of the light to the dark. This is such a quick and easy card. A great card to make if you need to make a card fast. You could use the same layout and stamp set but just change up the color. You could do this in all shades of blue or green.
Tomorrow I am going to a Janet's for a demo meeting. I really could use a day of stamping with my friends and other wonderful demos. It is such an energizing day. I love it when a group of demos get together and share ideas. Enjoy your weekend also!
