June Technique Class- Card 1

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  I am still trying to get over whatever I have.  I am still not feeling as peppy as I should.  Sunday was the first day since it hit me that I was out and about and that was only to get groceries.  But anyway, I have been trying to get to play with all the great new products that I have been able to pre-order.

This stamp set is named "EVERYTHING ELEANOR" and we received it at Leadership.  I also used a new stamp set which you will also find in the NEW 2012-13 catalog called, "ITTY BITTY BANNERS"for the sentiment. The background was created by using "EN FRANCOIS".  Although this is a very easy card to make, I like the simplicity of it.

I am sure you are wondering how this card be one of the technique cards for this month.  The theme this month is "Tips, Tricks, and New Products".  I have shown you the new products but there is a trick hidden in this card.  It is so simple but it creates an impact on this card.

If you are interested in Technique Class this month, please contact me.  The dates this month are:
Saturday June 2 @ 9-11:30 AM
Tuesday June 5 @ 9:15-11:45 AM
Wednesday June 6 @ 7-9:30 PM

We will make 3 cards using 3 different tips or tricks using some of the "New" products available.  You will also receive a technique card for each tip or trick demonstrated.
Cost $10 or $5 if $25 worth of product is purchased.

This month is going to be a little crazy because my second grandchild is due toward the end of this month.  I am so excited!  I am trying to get a lot of my stamping projects due at the beginning of the month so I can spend some time with the little one once he arrives.  Enjoy your day!

Sneak Peek DSP

This card is appropriate for posting today.  I am still sick and have been in bed the past 2 days.  Got up for breakfast and decided to post something very quick.

This is a quick and easy card using DSP you have never seen before.  The DSP that was used on the card is called FLORAL DISTRICT.  It uses very bright and vibrant colors including some of the new In Colors.  The Postage Stamp Punch was used to cut out the pieces and the teeny tiny umbrella is from a new hostess set named CARRY ON.

It is only a 9 more days until you will be able to order from the New catalog.   But do not forget that you can only order the RETIRED products until the end of May and then they are gone.  Well I plan to go to the Dr. today to find out what has been keeping me down.  Enjoy the day!

A Nice Stamping Weekend

Last week was a rough week.  I had a lot of commitments and was unable to stamp like I had wanted.  But on Saturday, Susan and I went on a road trip to Janet Wakeland's demo meeting and we had a wonderful day.  We got to talk and exchange ideas with other demos in the Tri- State Area.  In my last post, I posted the card that I made for the demo swap contest we were having.  I am so excited because I got second place!

Besides meeting with other demos and exchanging ideas, we were able to play with some of the "NEW" products that will be in the new 2012-13 catalog.  We had such a great time.  This is one of the cards that we made there. There are so many new products used on this card!

1.  Cardstock- NEW IN-COLORS- Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green
2.  Stamp Set-  World Treasures, Itty Bitty Banners
3.  Buttons-  Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
4.  Framelits-  Bitty Banners Framelits

I listed ONLY the NEW products that you will see June 1!

Although I had a good time stamping with friends on Saturday, when I got home I was ill.  I had a fever the rest of the weekend.  I still am not feeling well.  Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and will be able to get to do some stamping.  Enjoy the day!

Christmas?

Alright, alright.  You are probably thinking, "Is she crazy?".  Well I do love Christmas but there was a method for my madness this time.  This weekend I am going for a meeting with other SU demo and we need to take a swap.  The theme of the swap was "Sneak Peek" products.  So you are now getting see a card with some products from the "NEW" 2012-13 Catalog which you will be able to order from June 1.  I used 5 new products from the catalog to make this card.  Can you find them?

1.  Cardstock-  Check out the green!  It is one of the new In-Colors named GUMBALL GREEN.  I love the new color!

2.  DSP-  This new Christmas DSP is called BE OF GOOD CHEER.  Another product that I love.  Wait until you see the other designs in the package, You will be using packs and packs of this DSP for your Christmas Card.

3.  Stamp Set-  This mittens and the sentiment on this card is one of the stamps in the stamp set, CHOCK-FULL OF CHEER.  Cute, cute set.

4.  Apothecary Label Framelits-  The shape that the sentiment is stamped on was cute out using the framelits.  Wait until you see the other shapes that come with this set.

5.  The newly redesigned STAMP PAD-  You will be AMAZED at how this new pad inks your stamps. You get such a great stamped image!  I know that I will be replacing my stamp pads with these!  I did not realize what a difference stamping with them would be until I saw it for myself.

So there you are!  You have had a sneak peek with "5" new products.

Just a reminder that if you want to get a product that is being retired, you only have 17 more days to do it.  And June 1st you will be able to order the new products that are on this card and many other new products that I am sure you will love.  If you would like to get your hands on the new catalog, please contact me and I can help you get one for FREE.  Call or email me and find out how.  Enjoy the day!

Teacher Appreciation Day Gift

Yesterday my daughter gave the teachers at Eli's daycare a card and a gift box filled with candy.  Here is a picture of what she took minus the candy.  She filled the boxes after she picked up the gift boxes from my place.

I told you about the card in yesterday's post.  Today I will tell you how I made the candy box.  I made the box with the Favor Box Die using Pacific Point Cardstock.  It is so easy to make gift boxes using that specific die.  To fancy the box up a bit, I added a Summer Smooches DSP belly band.  I then took Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and tied it on top of the belly band.  Using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, I added the sentiment.

The supplies that I used for this project are listed here:

STAMP SET:  Teeny Tiny Wishes
PAPER: Pacific Point Cardstock, Summer Smooches DSP, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
INK:  Rich Razzleberry
ACCESSORIES:  Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Rhinestone Jewels, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Favor Box Die

Last night my daughter told me that they wrote a very nice thank you note for the items Eli gave yesterday.  I know I will be making more items to give the ladies there to thank them for all they do for the children there.  Gotta go to my physical therapy .  Hopefully this is the last day.  I know the past 3 months it has been helping me but I think it is time I graduate to doing it myself.  Enjoy your day!

Teacher Appreciation Card

This is a card that I made for my daughter to give to Eli's teachers at daycare.  Since this is Teacher Appreciation Week, she thought it would be nice to give them a card and a little something.  So she asked mom to come up with a card to give them.  I had seen this card on Debbbie Henderson's blog where you are able to get a tutorial.  With Eli and 2 more grandchildren coming soon I decided I need to create more cards for kids.

This was such a quick and easy card to make.  the supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET: Bold Blossoms (retired SU)
PAPER:  Garden Green, Pear Pizazz
INK:  Basic Black
ACCESSORIES: Scallop Circle Punch, Oval Punch, Tasteful Trim Die, Big Shot

The Pear Pizazz paper will be retiring this year. I used the retired sentiment because I thought it was a perfect sentiment for this card.  My daughter will be picking up the cards this morning to give them when she drops him off at daycare today.  I hope the women there will like them.  The ladies that work there are so nice and do such nice things with the kids.  They deserve to get a BIG thank you this week.  Enjoy the day!

May Technique Card- Card 3

This is the third card that I came up with for May Technique Classes.  This is a "Circle Moving Card" which is quite interesting to make.  Although it creates a neat effect, it is a card that takes a little more time and concentration to make.  If you look at each picture closely, you will see it is the same card.
Look where the purple tab is.  If you move the tab around, the picture changes.

I used the "Bordering on Romance" stamp set which was in the Occasions Mini but is staying on in the new Catalog.  I am glad it is staying because there were so many stamp sets that I loved and bought in the Mini but did not get a chance to use.  So now I decided to pull it out and use it.  I think it looks perfect for this card.

If you are wondering how I did this, be sure to attend one of the 2 technique classes left this month.  It is a great month to make cards.  I am off to get more stuff ready for the Yard Sale this weekend.  Enjjoy the day!

May Technique Card- Card 2

As I said before, I really like the cards this month for Technique Class.  Although I like all the cards I make, I just think this month's cards make me smile because they are a little more special with the extra component of movement.  I also like this card because I stretched myself by trying a new color combination.  I had to go with  Baja Breeze for the DSP because I needed to find a color that I had enough  pieces for all  my customers attending Technique Class.  From there I needed to find colors that would coordinate with the DSP.  I was really pleased how the color combo turned out.  I did use Pear Pizazz for this card.  Pear Pizazz is one of the In Colors that will be retiring at the end of this month.
This is called a "Flag Card"  and you can tell why by the inside of the card.  I used the stamp set "NATURE"S WALK"  which is one of my favorite stamp sets.  I am so happy that this set will be around again this year.  I was glad that SU did not retire this set at the end of this catalog.

I plan to send this card to my Sister-in-Law for her birthday.  I hope she likes it.

Well I am off and running again today.  I have a big day planned.  After my Physical Therapy this morning, I am coming back home and going through things in the attic for a yard sale which is happening on Saturday.  I need to get rid of some things that I have been holding on for too many years.  I need to make some room up in the attic.  So I will be very busy this week but I will be posting more projects that I have been working on.  So check back.  Enjoy the day!

May Technique Class-Card 1

I am so excited about the theme of the technique classes this month!  The theme this month is "MOVING CARDS".  I can't wait to show my customers how they can spice up their cards for special occasions.

I was trying to think of something special for Father's Day.  This Slider Card I think does the trick.  It is a very simple card to make once you have the dimensions.  I used the "Best Day Ever" stamp set and the Happy Father's Day stamp from the "Delightful Dozen" stamp set.  Thank goodness these sets will still be around in the New 2012-13 Catalog.

I will be hosting three Technique classes this month.

Saturday May 5, 2012 @ 9-11:30 PM
Tuesday May 15, 2012 @ 9:15 - 11:45 PM
Wednesday May 16, 2012 @ 7- 9:30 PM

We will be making 3 cards using 3 different techniques that will create movement in your cards plus the technique cards which gives you directions for each technique.

The cost is $10 for the class or $5 if you purchase $25 worth of product.  If you would like to attend my technique classes, please contact me.

I can't wait to post the next 2 cards that we will be making.  Check back for those posts in the next couple of days.   Enjoy the day!
