An In Color Thank You

Here is a look of the cute quick thank you note cards that I created for my Open House.  I wanted to make sure that my customers knew how much I appreciate their business.

I wanted to make a card that showcased the new In Colors.  Although I only have 4 of the 5 In Colors shown here, I did make all 5 colors.  I had already placed the Tangelo Twist cards in customers bags when I realized I had forgotten to take a pic of the cards.  So unfortunately this is what you are left to view.

I wanted to show off some of the new products on this card.  So here are the supplies that I used to create it:

STAMP SETS:  Something to Say
PAPER: Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Whisper White
INK:  Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey
ACCESSORIES:  Itty Bitty Accents Punch, Pack, Jewel Rhinestones

I think you look like the "Something to Say" stamp set.  It is a stamp set with numerous sentiments for all occasions.  I predict that this will be one of my go to stamp sets in the coming year.  Another crazy day awaits me!  The grandsons will soon be here and then it will be non stop activities.  It is supposed to be hot today so I predict they will want us to get the inflatable pool out.  Which is fine with me because I know that they will all want to be in the same place.  Go out and enjoy your day!

So Excited!

There are so many things lately to be excited about.   Today you can start or ding form the NEW 2014-15 catalog!  Can not wait to place my order!  Yeah!  Wait until I start showing you all the great new stuff SU is offering this year.

The other thing that has me so excited is the Open House for my customers so that they could receive the new catalog and get to see some of the new products that are being offered in the 2014-15 catalog.  I had a very nice time and my customers who attended enjoyed it as well.

I wanted to share with you one of the Make &
Takes, I had prepared for the event.  This card uses "Sea Street" stamp set.  The set is a new one that you will find in the catalog.  At first I was not sure if I wanted to get it but I am so glad that I did.  I have been using this stamp set for a few different cards.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SETS:  Sea Street, Work of Art
PAPER:  Night of Navy, Whisper White, Real Red, Pool Party, Maritime DSP, Early Espresso
INK: Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Early Espresso
ACCESSORIES: Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Pool Party Marker, Sponges, Dimensionals

I am not sure how well this picture shows up on your computer but I sponged the ocean part on the Whisper White card stock with Soft Sky.  The white looked too stark and I sponged it to make it look softer.    The waves were created by using the Pool Party Marker.  It sort of has an Ombre look to it.  I think it makes it look more like waves that way.  And finally if you look closely, you can see the stamped flap of the envelope using the same set.  My one customer did that and I thought it was so cute, I had to replicate it on my envelope flap.    Well I am getting ready to place my order so I have to go double check my list.  Enjoy your day!  I know with all the excitement with the new catalog debuting today, I know I am enjoying my day!

Another Blendabilities Card

I just love the new Blendabilities and new 2014-16 In Colors that will debut in the New catalog. My new favorite go to stamp set is titled "Bloom with Hope".  I love it!  It is a Hostess Set but I love the variety of flowers in the set.  It is a very versatile set and those are  the kind of sets that I like to invest in.

This card a simple and clean card.  It does not have a lot of bling but it is a card that can be used for a number of occasions.  The supplies that I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Bloom with Hope
PAPER:  Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White
INK:  Memento Tuxedo Ink
ACCESSORIES:  Jewel Rhinestones, Oval Framelits, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Dimensionals, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Skin Tone Blendabilities

The color combination to me seems a bit like Fall.  I think I might try to make this card again but try brighter colors.  If you look very closely, you will see that the rhinestones are colored.  I was able to do that  by using the new Blendabilities!  Although I have been showing you cards using this new product, customers will have to wait a bit longer until they will be available to them.  But I assure you, they are worth the wait.  Enjoy the day!

Open House Thank You

I will be hosting an Open House on Saturday at my house.  It will be at my home on Saturday May 31 at 11 AM to 2 PM.  I am so excited because I have a lot of new products to share with you, my customers.  I gave my Open Hose a theme this year.  I titled it "Chocolate Hugs and Kisses".   I titled it that way because the new Photopolymer  Stamps this year were made to smell like chocolate!  The Hugs and Kisses part to the title came from "Kissing your old catalog good-bye and Hugging the New catalog hello".  I know, I know, it is kind of silly but why not have fun with it, right?

Here is a pic of the cute favor/thank you for all my customers who will be attending on Saturday.  It is a quick and easy Treat Holder.  I made the Treat Holder and placed Hershey HUGS and KISSES candy in a small plastic bag and placed it inside this holder.  I thought the candy treat complimented my theme quite well.  If you look closely, the tag comes form the stamp set, "Chalk Talk".  The sentiment read, "I can't thank you enough".  I think that is a perfect message to give to my customers.  The supplies that I used for this project were:

STAMP SETS:  Glorious Grunge, Chalk Talk
PAPER:  Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, Real Red
INK:  Pear Pizazz, Strawberry Slush
ACCESSORIES:  Angled Tag Topper Punch, Circle Card Thinlets, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Pear Pizazz Chevron Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Jewels

Hopefully they will enjoy it.  I know I LOVE chocolate so I would like it.  I have other items that I will be giving away so check that out here tomorrow.

I know that this month has been very sparse with posting.  The last few months have been very stressful and very exhausting with a family illness.  But things are looking brighter and I hope that I will be able to post on  a regular basis again.  I have missed being able to do my stamping and posting those for you.  So I ready again to post projects and cards for you.

Enjoy the day!

Another Sneak Peek using Blendabilities

Here is another card that I made while playing around with the Blendabilities that will be available in the NEW catalog.  I accidentally typed in the wrong month in my last post.

When you look at this card you will see some new colors.  These are the NEW 2014-16 In Colors.  I was not sure when I first saw them.  But when I saw them in person, I was a fan.  The colors are so rich looking.   I used the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities again.  I just love that color!  It shows up so nicely on a card.

I am sitting here and looking at this card and just realized that the only "old" product on this card is the Whisper White card stock and the doily.  Even the DSP is a sneak peek of what is to come in this catalog.

I honestly can say that I can not wait for you to see all the NEW that is waiting for you in the NEW Catalog.  I think there is something for everyone in this one.

I will be hosting an OPEN HOUSE on May 31 from 11-2.  I will have Make & Takes, NEW products, catalogs, refreshments and more!  So "Save the Date" if you wish to attend.  I will have catalogs available for you to take home with you that day.  I hope this card entices you and you decided to attend.  Enjoy the day!

A Sneak Peek

I am so excited about the NEW Blendabilities that Stamping Up introduced May 1.  They are an alcohol based marker.  I have never worked with them before and I am still at the learning curve but I really like them.  They give you such a rich color and are great to blend colors together to help make the image more dimensional looking.

Here is my first attempt at using them.  I used a new single stamp.  It is a great stamp to  experiment with the Blendabilities.  .  With this card I also used 3 of the new In Colors.  I LOVE them!  They are so rich in color.  The picture actually does not do them justice.

The feeling of this card is so rich and regal looking.  I am pleased how it turned out for my first attempt.  The bled abilities make it easy to color.  They come in a pack of 3 markers.  1 light, 1 medium , and 1 dark of the color.  I used the package of Rich Razzleberry and also the pack Daffodil Delight for the inside of the flower.  Don't you think that the way the flower is rendered that it looks three dimensional?  Just one more great new thing that you have to try.

When I find the time in between all the chaos here, I am practicing using them.  I will be posting a couple of my other attempts soon.  Enjoy the day!

April Technique Class- Card #3

This is the last card that we made at Technique Class this month.  It was very easy to make but I think it makes such a statement.  Again I used the Scallop Tag Punch with my group.  I like to show them how you can use a product in different ways.  This is a really cute way to make a different type of fold card.

The supplies that  I used for this card were:

STAMP SET:  Happy Watercolor
PAPER:  Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green, Whisper WHite
INK:  Pink Pirouette, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
ACCESSORIES:  Scallop Tag Punch, Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon, Blender Pens, Scoring/Cutting Tool

I was very happy how this card turned out and my customers loved it.  It is always nice to have knowledge on how to create a few different ways to fold cards.  Sometimes you need to spice up your card making.  And one way is to use a different type of fold.  It can take a nice simple card and step it up a notch.

Today is supposed to be a nice day.  It will be a good day to take the kids to a playground.  Last week we had so much rain that our basement started to fill up with water.  The pump was not working right so the water was not getting pumped out fast enough.  The kids had to be inside and they were getting stir crazy.  So the weather will be nice for all of us.  Enjoy the day!
